GOYN aims to provide end-to-end entrepreneurship support to establish entrepreneurship as a sustainable livelihood trajectory. It involves mentoring to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, counseling, developing Business skills and Agency to seek financial support, delineating market linkages, networking, and helping host businesses at various platforms. It will be the single window access to information and knowledge-building material. It will also track and support the journeys of the OY through its entrepreneurial venture.

Junoon: Entrepreneurship Development Program

GOYN has recently launched a new project (Junoon- EDP) to support home-based micro-entrepreneurs to grow and expand their businesses. The program is designed to build partnerships with multiple organizations to input into the program implementation, provide pre and post-business including business skills training, support with statutory registrations, upskilling as required, information on Government schemes, finance options, provide mentorship support, provide support for market linkages.

Funding Mechanisms

The government helps with funding schemes to help set up your business. Some of them are listed below:

Youth Welfare Scheme

Pune Municipal Corporation provides a grant of Rs. 5000/- to the Youth between the age group of 18 to 45 to start their own business.

Women and Child Welfare Scheme

Under this program, women in the age group of 18 to 45 are provided training of various self-employment skills. A revolving fund of Rs. 1000/- per member is given to the Self-Help group(SHGs) formulated under the Social Development Department and who have completed one year. It is a one-time fund.

Entrepreneurship development program (Scheme No.7)

Providing Financial assistance to registered “Mahila Mandal” / Charitable Trust / Co-Op. Society of women for entrepreneurship development program i.e. through it, they can get knowledge of market survey, trade, business , vocation training, machinery, capital through Govt. loan schemes, marketing etc .

Pilot Project on Entrepreneurship

To promote entrepreneurship as an alternate career choice and enable sustained long-term mentoring support through the journey to potential and early stage entrepreneurs. The project activities seek to create an enabling ecosystem for entrepreneurship development through entrepreneurship education & training, advocacy, and easy access to entrepreneurship network, with focus on student/ trainees and alumni from the skill ecosystem.

Entrepreneur: “A person who starts a business and is willing to risk loss in order to make money.”
